This impacts every family in our district.
Sacramento politics are infecting local schools.
We are officially launching a lawful, voter‑driven recall under California law to hold these trustees accountable for their actions.
The recall process exists to give the community a clear and constitutional way to correct course when elected officials fail to represent their constituents. This is not about politics — it’s about students, parents, and fairness.
To qualify this recall for the ballot, we must collect 21,392 verified signatures from registered voters, with April 14, 2026 as our targeted goal.
While this date represents our internal benchmark for success, the number of valid signatures remains the critical requirement — every signature brings us closer to qualifying. Each signature is a tangible step toward protecting girls’ sports and ensuring school board decisions reflect community values.
This effort is powered by parents, grandparents, and community members who care deeply about the future of our schools.
We are organizing and training volunteers to collect signatures legally, respectfully, and effectively throughout Bakersfield. Whether you can help for an hour or take on a larger role, your involvement matters.
History shows that when communities stand together with clarity and conviction, real change is possible.
This recall is about neighbors working side by side to protect students and ensure school leadership reflects the will of the people. Bakersfield families deserve school boards that prioritize fairness, safety, and parental input — and together, we can make that happen.
